TECH VOLUNTEER TRAINING

Build a tech-wise ministry team.

Tech training with a wholistic, Christ-centered approach.

Small churches often struggle to recruit and train tech volunteers, transferring the knowledge of a confident few to the rest of the team. The internet is awash in training videos, templates, tutorials, and resources.

So why is it still such a common struggle? Effective volunteer training must account for your unique people, gear, and vision, not some abstract “professional standard.”

I can work with your church to train volunteers and build training materials that will serve you for years to come. A single or multi-day training intensive can quickly take your volunteer team to a new level of confidence. Get in touch to discuss training options.

World-class production experience for churches on mission.

While I have over 20 years of large-scale production experience, my passion is to support churches on the frontier of grassroots Kingdom ministry: small churches, church plants, and churches in transition. My goal is always to leverage my experience to help you make wise decisions in your context and never to copy someone else’s production approach.

TESTIMONIALS

What churches are saying

In my mind, Anthony is one of the most gifted guys for training production teams in the church. He has a balanced understanding of why and how we do production. He served us so well here at Midtown, training and equipping our teams to confidently mix and troubleshoot. Anthony not only trained our team but has continued to send texts of encouragement when he hears their mixes on the livestream. If you are looking for someone who understands, both theologically, and practically, why we use technology in the local church, you will find no one better than Anthony.”

— Pat Sczebel, Worship Pastor

“Before training with Anthony, I only knew how to adjust the faders to balance the mix, but I had no idea what to do with the rest of the nobs. Anthony's interactive and practical training sessions helped me understand and confidently use the whole sound board to create a good mix. His training not only answers the "what" and "how" questions of the soundboard, but he also brings it back to the basics of why Christians should do sound in church at all. I really appreciate Anthony sharing his years of experience and I would recommend his training to anyone who wants to learn more!”

— Jocelyn, Sound Volunteer

“I had some previous experience with sound boards, but Anthony broke down the concepts and explained it in language I could understand. He has passion and a lot of knowledge, but he’s also down to earth and always explains things at your level.

— Josh, Sound Volunteer

Wisdom is the goal. Jesus is the reason.

I believe there is an all-too-often missing piece in our use of tech and media in the Church: wisdom. And all wisdom is found in Christ.

My approach to training starts with a big picture vision of where technology and media fit into God’s grand story of redemption and how that should inform our learning about and using tech in the Church.

With a solid foundation and ‘why’ to build on, I can help train your tech volunteers from the ground up, introducing them to the essential concepts and skills they will need to start their journey as technical artists serving in the Church.

Training, customized to your context.

Each training package is built out for your unique context: your gear, your space, and, most importantly, your people. After an initial consultation to learn your unique needs, training can be provided in person or online in the format that works best for your team.

A long term resource for your ministry.

Each training session is filmed and edited for your team to use as a resource in the future. This will allow you to onboard new volunteers quickly with a common curriculum. Even if your ministry does not employ someone to look after tech and media needs, you will still have a powerful tool for training new volunteers for years to come.
